Wanted to thank you all again for the great info. Finally didn't rain today so I was able to pull cart around on empty lot next to me and give the batteries a wash and coat terminals and wires up.
Also siphoned out the excess water out of the batteries to get the level just above the plates. Question is how often do you check levels and how are y'all measuring the level above the plates? Really hard to tell sometimes. Thanks |

For checking water level depths, I took a very clean wooden dowel rod and down each hole it went until it lightly touched the battery tops. Then just look at where the water line is. You can mark the top of the cover with a pen or marker to know. Use a rag to wipe down the wooden rod in between each "dip."
