forward reverse help
hi I'm fairly new to the gof cart mods and would appreciate a little help. I recently purchased a jakes sports shifter. I got it installed. I installed it in the forward direction with the pice at 11 o clock. it shifts into reverse very smooth and nice, but i cant get it to go back into forward. I took the whole thing apart and just used the provided shifter lever and it seems to have a lot of resistance to get the lever to move. is there a way to adjust the tension or do I need to buy new cables. thanx

Not up to speed no the shifter, but i would start with spraying some kind of lubricating oil into the shift cables, as well as the shifter shaft that the new shifter attaches to. Sorry for the long sentence!
