Default g9 headlights

I got my headlights installed tonight. I bought one of those cutting oscillating tools, it worked awesome.

Looks good Jake! It also looks like its to late ta warn you, these things will hook you. And you will be spending all your time here with us, instead of your family!!

Hope you returned the ground wire from the lights to the battery or, to the ground lug on the starter!

Looks good! I just picked up my G9 yesterday, thinking of ordering the set with tail lights. What tool did you use to cut the body? Also, do these lights come with a template?

Jake, real quick, I got my + feed from the battery side of the solenoid (large post), then to an inline fuse, then to a switch on the dash. I brought the negative wire (ground) back to the negative post on the end of the starter, (where the large cable from the battery, attaches to the starter). If this makes no sence, let me know, I will try again. Gotta go take kids ta school!!

Yamaha's use on "open/closed ground ignition", and grounding accesories to frame can, and will ,cause the main fuse to blow.

Always safest to ground back to batt.

I think he's talking about a dremmel tool. Thats what I used and it worked great. The lights do come with a template.

I think Jake used an ultresonic tool. I used a rotozip type tool, but probably a dremmel is best.
