Re: 36V Club Car ('93) just quit and wont run at all
Those old resistor carts did not use a micro-switch for the reverse buzzer.
One side of the buzzer was always connected to pack-positive and the other side was connected to the solenoid. When the FNR was switched into reverse, the solenoid would connect to the motor stator coil S1, and S2 is always connected to pack negative. Since the solenoid is "clicking", both micro-switches must be engaging (FNR anti-arcing and Pedal limit micro-switch). |

Re: 36V Club Car ('93) just quit and wont run at all
You won't believe how much some of that went over my head, but I'm taking it as "When you get home, jack it up and press the pedal down briefly like you were told and report back"
*And since sometimes things don't come across on message boards (or text in general) the way they're intended I WAS POKING FUN AT MYSELF with that. Thank You for putting up with my silly questions |

Re: 36V Club Car ('93) just quit and wont run at all
Jacked it up and hit the pedal as instructed....heard a click other than the solenoid and thought "wait a minute there ought not be a click back there by the motor"....looked and yep, I think we've found the culprit.
Held cable in place and sure enough, she spins. Now I just gotta figure out if it's fixable. |

That IS fixable, but I'm not sure you'll want to tackle it as a DIY job. Taking the motor off and apart to fix the internal parts can be a bear of a job if you aren't prepared. We can walk you through it though if you want.
Do you have an electric motor rebuilder or shop in your area? |

Wow, so it was a spark You saw in the dark...
That may be a great opportunity to send You motor to PlumQuick for a Bandit performance rebuild, for $225 it is a much better deal than any local motor shop you will find. |

I was thinking a Bandit too; will PQ take it with a broken stud?

old_dog, Please put the FNR in Neutral and leave it there.
That motor wire hanging there could be very dangerous. That way You can still charge the cart while you wait on the motor. |
