I think you have a series drive cart. I'm not sure they have roll a way braking.

That definitely looks like a series setup. In that case, the operation you are describing is perfectly normal, and 12-14 mph is a normal top speed.

I don't think so, at least not easily. There's no kit that I know of. The roll away buzzer on the IQ and Excel carts works through the speed sensor and regen braking features, and a series cart has neither. Your best bet is to be in the habit of locking the parking brake down whenever stopping on anything but flat ground.
