I think I may have figured out what you are doing. You are measuring #1 bat pos to #4 bat neg. That would give you 48 volts. Then you are measuring #1 bat neg to #4 bat pos. That would give you 24 volts.

-I'm still in the dark--why it won't take off? cleaned the posts on the motor still nothing.but your right on the battery volts. yellow wires aren't on this now thats fo rthe maintainer....... long red wire are new and only test wire black will come .

These are deep cell Alpha batteries premiums. all good and been in here since 2013. Golf cart batteries are deep cell acid ???Why would these batteries just stop?What would be the difference in thess and regular golf cart batteries?

well this cart backed up . clicked in and went 8 feet in reverse no forward yet?
