precedent inner ball joint removal
Anyone know the correct procedure for removal and
Replacement of 2008.5 precedent inner ball joints ? I searched for info |

Take the tie rod end off, take the boot off, and use a big crescent wrench to remove the inner ball joint.

Thanks for checking this thread , I've made it that far boot removed etc.
Issue is the tab on the inner ball joint is crushed preventing removal . There is a slot that has been pressed The new OEM part has a perfect flange right behind threaded Area that fits on steering assembly. The one I'm trying to remove Has this tab "crimped or crushed down preventing removal . Have you seen this ? |

Yes. You power through it with the crescent wrench and it'll flatten out the tab.
