Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
I was working on my cart today and noticed that there was a fuse right by the #1 battery. It's down on the floor of the battery bucket. It's in a water proof holder and you almost have to take the number 3 battery out to see it. To avoid confusion the number 1 battery is on the passengers side.
Edit to add picture. I wish I knew how to circle it. Wait I think I got it. Last edited by jjance; 05-02-2015 at 05:05 PM.. Reason: Add picture |

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
I will look for that fuse.
I ran a jumper wire from the solenoid negative to the negative of the battery bank and the solenoid will close, but the cart will still not move. it is starting to look like the controller is shot? |

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
I looked for the fuse by #1 battery, but i could not find one there.
I opened up the controller, nothing there looks burnt. If the OBC was burnt would that stop the cart from working? |

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
Don't panic find that fuse, it's suppose to be 5 amps. You are going for the most expensive things first. Rule/out the simple things first. Did you make any drawings or take any pictures before you started? The OBC would keep you from moving. It locks out movement while charging. But you jumper out the solenoid and it didn't help.

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
Talked to my dad and he removed the battery but there was no fuse there, the only fuses i can find are the 15 amp fuse with a pink and red wire and there is a 10 amp fuse on the bucket harness for the lights that has blue wires.

The problem I see from your pic is the controller isn't stock It looks to be an alltrax. So that tells me things was modified, this makes trouble shooting even harder over the interweb without the fine details. What can you tell me about the controller and the modifications? Take some pics of the controller and all of that wiring down there. |

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
OK, that fuse may be stuffed where the F/R switch is at or on the controller side where the harness passes through the front, It may be bundled up in that tight spot.

Re: Help trouble shoot electrical problem
So there should be a 5 amp fuse somewhere? I just ask because the wire diagram doesn't show one that I can fined.
