Curtis Controller Vs. Alltrax
I am wanting to upgrade my stock controller for either a Curtis 1206 550 amp controller (Same footprint as my stock controller) or a Alltrax AVE 4855 500 AMP controller. With the Alltrax I will have to make modifications cutting off the plug on my old controller and attaching it to the Alltrax. My question is are there any advantages of one controller over the other when it comes to performance both speed and torque?
I was told that Curtis and Alltrax do not rate the amperages the same? Just wondering how that can be. Who can give me advice on which is best and which way I should go. They both cost the same so price is out of the equation. Thanks, Bill |

What model cart do you have and what modifications already exist?

No matter what you add, the 4 gauge cables are a MUST. I would try that first, you will notice a little more speed and torque from that alone. Our Shop EZGO site offers the OEM 4 ga. cable kits for $130.00. Beyond that - I would suggest a 400 amp alltrax... |

Re: Curtis Controller Vs. Alltrax
Mike,
The 4ga upgrade offered on your site- lists txt carts. I have a 2005 pds cart. Are the wires still correct. I know I have a pds with the tow/run switch. I have no idea if it is also a txt or medalist cart? Thanks |
