DVR - your PDS can use the same kit, but you will have wires left over! The TXT kit includes the F/R controll wires (4) and you cart only has two...

I know this is an old thread but the question from a technical standpoint was never answered. Can someone give an apples to apples comparison. Thanks

What, Alltrax vs Curtis? Well, Alltrax offers customization to its tuning perimeters and, as far as I know, Curtis stock replacement upgrades don't. Also, there are many members on here with great success with Alltrax, and finding a used one is easy. Plus selling is easy. Furthermore, Alltrax has a great customer service group.

The Alltrax units are fully potted and in my experience a bit better at repellling the environment.

It does seem that everyone on here favors the Alltrax unit. I am going with an AC drive system simply because it is by far a superior system over the DC units. It runs cooler, more HP, more torque, regenerative braking, faster on the street and slow for the course. I have yet to find any cons for the system. Most people claim it's not worth the extra money but then those same people complain about not enough torque or power. I realize it does cost more (and not everyone can afford the AC) but again with fuel prices not lowering it is still cheaper in the long run than gas. BTW I drive a diesel truck as a daily driver now, so my savings will be seen within 6-12 months. Everywhere on the web where I am looking, AC systems are always paired with a curtis controller so I thought that the BGW crew could share some opinions, good or bad, and hopefully some data that will shed light with pros or cons.

Sounds good keep us posted...

P.S.
On the diesel pick up truck thing. Compare the over inflated initial cost ($6000 - $10,000 extra) and operating expense ($4 gal) to a cheap gas truck over 5 years, you may not like the results. I have worn out more diesel trucks in our house (yes his & hers) I know for fact the high initial cost and $4 gallon cost don't add up to big savings as they did when diesel was $0.50 when I bought my first one.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas.

I'm right with ya Scotty on my diesel. I tow a 30' camper and a boat behind that so right now that is the only thing keeping me in a diesel. Also it's paid for. When I bought mine fuel was $1.29 a gallon. Thinking of selling my camper and going with a half ton gas. We'll see. Merry Christmas to you as well.

I am converting from gas to electric so I have to buy all new parts so I figured why not spend a little more and go with the AC setup. I am looking at the setup from High Performance Electric Vehicle solutions. Here is there site www.hvevs.com The vctechusa.com site doesn't have a whole lot of info so I do need to research them more. I have some homework to do still. Merry Christmas all
