Default Re: Rebuild EzGo charger

JohnnieB, thank you for your reply. I have ordered the amp gauge that you suggested. Its going to take a month to get it but I can wait. I have also started changing the battery cables to #4 gauge welders wire. I know I need to change all the battery cables but do I also need to change these wires to #4 welders wire cables?. Also, I am buying the other four batteries so I will have a full set of new batteries. Thanks again for your help

Glad to hear you are going with all new batteries.
Here is how to break them in properly. (New batteries don't reach their maximum storage capacity until they are "Matured")
http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Batter...n_Methods.html
While om the website, read everything with "Battery" in title. Lots of good info.

---------------
I count 12 High Current Cables on the attached schematic.
The 7 cables highlighted in color definitely need to be upgraded to 4Ga or heavier.
Resistance in those 7 cables will limit your cart's speed and torque.
The other 5 cables connected to accelerator switch and resistor box are not as critical since a resistance deliberately inserted into them to reduce speed.
However, they do look a bit ragged in the pictures, so it wouldn't hurt to replace them.
