Adding aux. batteries
I have an ezgo pds that I converted to 48 volts last year. I have a voltage reducer to run my lights, radio, etc. But, I wanted to add an extra 12 volt battery in the bagwell to power radio and lights. How could I wire in this additional battery so that my voltage reducer still worked if the 12 volt battery went dead.

Re: Adding aux. batteries
Use a DPDT (Double-Pole Double-throw) switch.
Connect the + and - 12V from the reducer to one set of contacts and the + and - from the 12V battery to the other. The switch's common contacts connect to the - block and the fuse block. If the - output from the reducer is connected to the battery pack's -, a single pole switch would be okay. |
