series is slow
1994 series cart will only drive in one speed. slow. in forward and reverse.
battery voltage is 43. Replaced the controller. The wire on the D connector at the f/r switch is smoking. Could a faulty f/r switch cause an issue with the speed? As always your input is much appreciated. |

Re: series is slow
A smoking F&R or F&R connection will compromise the contacts in that corner of the rotary switch. This compromise can effect performance and speed.
You need a new F&R. There is no repair for heat damage due to the soft housing melting. Don't buy another stock F&R get the heaviest duty F&R you can find. The cost difference is just a few bucks. |

Re: series is slow
Oh thanks sweets for the help. After performing all troubleshooting items in repair book, I suspected the F/R but needed a professional opinion. Will give if a whirl!!
