You'll gain top speed on flats with bigger tires, but you'll lose a bunch of torque.
Bigger controller and motor upgrade can fix that, but it will shorten run time...

It depends on the weight you carry, and the terrain you drive on. I have a 4" lift with 22" tires BUT I also have an Alltrax XCT 400 amp controller. That being said. I gained about 4-5 mph on flat road (24mph with stock tires, 29 mph with 22"). I lost about 2-3 MPH up long steep hills (15mph at the top of hill with stock tires 13mph with 22") Hope this helps, just so you know the XCT makes a HUGE difference over the stock controller, so you may lose more speed on hills. When I came up with the speeds above me and a buddy were on the cart which was probable about 530lbs of weight.

The controller alone is not enough for me, but it depends on how you use your cart, if your area is relatively flat and you don't carry a lot of weight you may be fine with the controller alone. I'm just to fat and want more torque

As far as the Trojans I assume you are referring to the Rangers? I don't know if they will make that big of a difference.

Take a look at Revolution Carts or Carts Unlimited site sponsors. Both David and Scotty offer controller/cable upgrade packages that come with good instructions. It will make a big difference and is not hard to do.
