Default shopping list to modify a DS

Have not posted in a while, but still contacting a few people about their club cars.

My father wants to get his club car DS modified a bit- he lives in 55+ community outside Orlando.

He's got a "stock" DS 48v system. He wants to go a little faster and have some lift. Trying to get him a list of items that will be needed so he can price out his options- either modifying or just selling his and buying one already done.

So anyone have a "shopping list" of what's needed to get it to go faster-
Is just adding a Plum Quick Bandit motor with the stock controller a simple option?

I know about lift/lift kits- pretty straight forward. It will be up to him to decide if he wants 6" lift or smaller.

I did my Precedent, but the DS is a bit of a different animal. If I understand on the DS, there is no "speed code" to worry about.

Its a Series- which I way I think he may be able to get his increased speed with a motor change vs. having to change all the controllers etc.

I had the serial number, but lost it, believe it was 2001, maybe 2002. I'll have to get him to send it to me.

If you are capable of installing the modifications yourself, I would go that route. Nicely modified carts are $$. Plus you start with new stuff and do it right.
