as long as the popo aren't pulling me over for speeding......I'm good, and seeing as how the cars are going faster than me.....I'm good, so there isn't a need for a speedo. If I ever upgrade my cart and want to know how fast it goes, I will just put my GPS on the seat next to me for that ride.

Worked on it all morning, so took some pics. Here you go:

Magnet is the black dot at the bottom of the rim, the sensor is zip-tied to the control arm that is attached to the steering shaft, just about 1/2" from the rim.

Finally got around to looking this up... 2Five speedometer in standard rxv. Heres ezgo part numbers & prices.

609401 -speedometer $157.26
614897- harness $116.96

The speedo shows up on shopezgo.com, but the harness does not. So , looked up the part number in my ezgo price list, it was on the list (so it is a valid part number). Might have to call a dealer directly to order it, instead of shopezgo.com. Installation is very easy.

Thanks for the numbers cg. Now roughly $280 for a speedo and SOC meter.. Or does it do more?

Yes, alot of money, but it should also serve as a diagnostic tool too. It should show speed, SOC, total milage accumulated on the controller (odometer), PLUS it will flash any error codes present in the odometer column.

Come to think of it, "cartboy" ought to buy one of these things simply to use for a diag tool.

Does it talk to the controller for the error codes?

I have an Alltrax ExRay that does everything BUT error codes.

Yes, talks to controller through "canbus". This could be easily used as a scan tool by connecting it to the white plug on bottom of cupholders. Then connect "loopback" plug to make it drive.

That's cool.

I wish Alltrax would offer a small touchscreen for displaying info for their serial communications controllers. There's a lot of info available if you drive around with a laptop connected. Guess they figure 99% of users don't care about amps, volts, temp, etc.
