Yes stock motor. Just hooked it to computer and drove it. Max motor and battery amps are set to 500 but on monitor they are around 50 on flat ground and go up to around 100 going up the hill when driving it. Resting volts is 36.4-36.7 after running a while and dropped to 34.5 going up the hill.

the fact that your battery pack is that low.....could be the problem. you really need to charge it, seeing as its down to about 50-60% seeing as your batteries are relatively new, after a full charge, and 12 hr rest, they should be at 38.2v. if they aren't you have other issues.

I know.....as is mine. and I have the same controller, F&R, and solenoid.....you can see that all in my sig.

after a full charge, your battery meter, if you have one, after the 12hr rest should be at 38.2v.

When I first checked it this morning they were 38.2. The 36.4 was after driving a couple miles.

What do your motor amps read when running? it seems strange to me that mine never get over 100 when set to 500 max

I have to assume that reading is right after you stop.....but I gotta tell you it seems low. after the next time you fully charge your cart.....let it rest the 12 hrs.......then take a ride that is about the same distance as you just did.....then wait about an hour and then record your pack voltage, and tell us what it is.

I have taken my cart for a 11 mile flat out run......and then waited for about an hour, and my pack voltage is about 37.7 which is about 85% SOC.

You said you went "a couple of miles" and yours was at 36.4, which is only 52%.......but was that as soon as you stopped, or after a little while? if it was after a while....there is a problem.....if it wasn't but as soon as you stopped, the pack hadn't had time to recover.

To be honest, I have never needed or wanted to hook up my computer to see what the motor draws. but the fact that yours only gets to 100 while it running is normal, when it PEAKS at 500, is like when you first hit the "gas" and the motor needs it all to supply the torque at take off.....once you get rolling it takes less to keep it there.

think about it like your car.....to get it going, you have to give it a lot more gas (amps) but once you get it up to speed, you can back off and need as much gas to maintain the speed.

I have an AXE, but in the monitor mode, you have the option of (I'm making this up, as I'm too lazy to check) 10 second, 5 second, 2, 1, etc. refresh mode. If you have that option, set it for the highest refresh rate. I can't believe punching it from a dead stop won't give you hundreds of amps. I do know with my series buggy, 48 volts at 500 amps, I have to punch it from a dead stop going up my steepest hill to momentarily hit 500 amps.

The spm shows continuous readout on the laptop. I watched really close and flooring it from stopped it spikes to about 300 amps for a fraction of a second. Should it not ramp up to at least that going up a hill instead of just 100? Running normal relatively flat ground it stays between 20-50 motor amps. Its just frustrating dropping that kind of money and seeing zero improvement in the main area I wanted improvement in (going uphill without drastic slow down) when I have been told I would notice a marked improvement. It's not like I'm climbing a mountain either, it's just a hill on a paved road.
