I kept the stock spring and got a longer shock to mount to the original position on the axle. Of coarse this only works if you have it lifted. Keeps a nice soft ride with only 1and does not bottom out.

If I was leaving mine stock height with a rear seat, I would look into adjustable coil over or air-filled shocks. Of coarse that is on a budget. Could build a bad *** bagged cart with on board compressor to automatically adjust pressure and height. Would cost a few bucks though

Mine is stock height. When I put the rear seat on it would bottom out with me back there. I am 300 pounds. I talked to the local cart shop and they told me they use longer shackles. I tried that. With stock shocks you can only add about an inch. The shocks aren't long enough. It didn't work. I put the HD springs on it and it is fine. As far as the ride, the weight of the seat makes it feel like before.

Never looked for my golf cart but when I was younger bought a set for my S-10 and they were priced real reasonable. Guess for something like a cart they might be harder to find. I am real happy with my extended shocks. Are they that expensive?
