I think I need new brake pads. I adjusted my brakes, or at least I think I adjusted them. I turned those 2 nuts and tightened the cables underneath, that didn't work, I loosened them and that didn't work. Am I doing something wrong or is possible I need new brake pads.

There's a whole chapter on brakes in the service manual found in the stickies.
Oops, just notices these are disk brakes. |

Gregf, post a pick with the pads sideways so we can tell how far out the pads are sticking from the metal. Looking straight on is hard to tell. The red one *appears* to be OK and the other one *appears* to be thin and need replaced, but without the profile view it is neigh on impossible to tell.
