Re: Golf Cart Rookie!
I want to say it is a controller but I took some pictures that I will probably post at lunch time. I also took a picture of the plate with the serial number and all that. Thank you all for your willingness to help!!

Re: Golf Cart Rookie!
Here is the placard with the serial number... Tried to post other pics but it's only letting me do 1 at a time

Re: Golf Cart Rookie!
Like Sir Nuke said, a 94 Marathon with series wound motor and an electronic speed controller, that appears to have a lift kit installed and is missing batteries as well as some high current cables and maybe some control wiring.
Here is a schematic that should work. (The difference is the way the reverse beeper is wired) |

Re: Golf Cart Rookie!
It's definitely not in good shape but it was free so I figured I'd give it a shot

Re: Golf Cart Rookie!
The high current cables (5 connecting batteries in series and 8 connecting battery pack to motor and controller and F/R switch) should all be 4Ga or heavier. Use high strand count welding cable. The battery cable stuff used in automobiles doesn't work well.
18Ga for control wiring and 10Ga for the wires from the charger port to the battery pack. |
