Now that I think of it more:
If the tubes are actually square tubing, just replaces "tubes" in my post with "square tubing" Using a piece of string, you can ensure that you cut the tubing off the cart at the same height on each support. Just cut the string to length and use it to point to where to cut. Use the same string for each support Once you have cut, be careful not to grind off too much to de bur, as you are fooling with the support length, and you want them to stay pretty much equal. Install the pins to the bottom of the support first, on all 4 corners. Then put in the inner tubes, and then the top. NOW, drill the upper holes, thru both tubes and be careful the top is sitting against the bottom tubes or you will have an un level top. You are going to have to think about how to keep the "joints" from rattling. I am sure they will! |
