Default Easy behind dash & key switch access 01 TXT

Hey EZGO friends, I hope all is well in cart world. Simple question? How do I gain access behind the key switch on a 01 txt EZGO? Seems like a lot of work to drill pop rivets out or remove front cowl just to gain access to all the front wiring from the key switch. Any advice? Trying to install led battery pack meter...
Thanks Steve

if , and i mean if , someone replaced them then drilling would be only option .. it is easier to remove switch plate than cowl... removing cup holder is no help

You can also remove the "dust cover" in the front of the buggy. Just remove the EZGO emblem and you can reach up front.

I think is just blind access and the key switch plate is the way the keyswitch was intended to access. Drill out the 2 pop rivets someone used and replace them with like rivets or screws or OEM push rivets when your work is done. - You will be glad you did.

Agreed, but I routinely azccess my dash this way to make mods. I have a non-standard dash, which is bolted in place, and takes two people to accomplish.

Didn't know the task that was required.
