looks like everyone is away for the weekend. You did the hei conversion...is the ignitor getting too hot? Fuel to oil ratio correct? Running lean, or over advanced timing? brakes dragging?

I would say carry another plug with you. When it dies plug it in, and see if you have lost spark or not. That should narrow down the system that is giving trouble. Something has to be overheating.

You could also carry a meter with you. When it dies, check the resistance value of the pulsar when hot. My wires are red and blue. I'm assuming the 89 is the same.

had it out this morning for about 30 min when it was cool ran fine but moved the feed fuel line from the tank away from the engine it does not completely die acts like running out of gas I am thinking the gas is boiling in the line or the float is sticking did a resistance check on the pulse coil 155 ohms when warm have done the hei conversion have a solid plug wire on it I have over 30 years as a HD teck I would rate my self as a 8-9 level I had a 100cc harley that would run over 115 mph

155 ohms is perfect. What plug are you using? There has been talk that the Champions don't run as well as NGK.

I would also say that 30 years as a professional mechanic is a 9+.

I am thinking of getting some steel fuel line and building a line that goes down to the bottom of the body and over to the motor with rubber hose to the motor frame and up to the pump to keep it cool I am useing Autolite plug

Did you happen to check out the inside of your fuel pump during the rebuild? Diaphragms seem to be a major culprit when there are fuel issues.
