My G16 won't stay running and not sure why!
I have a 98 G16 that has a new carburetor, new coil , and a new solenoid. It fires up with the choke out and rpms go up then it dies. I just replaced the brushes in the starter when I replaced the solenoid. Everything seems to be getting the proper voltage, everything has continuity where it should, key switch, micro-switch, stop switch, etc. valves are set correctly etc. If I crank to long on it the battery cables get hot, as well as one side of the large solenoid terminal. Please give me some ideas why this cart won't run?

After cranking for awhile pull the spark plug see if it's wet or dry and report back

This morning it fired right off with the choke out and rpms went up and it ran good for 45 seconds and died again. Pulled the plug and it was wet.

So that indicates you're getting fuel and lacking spark I'd start with new spark plug then can foul cause goofy starting/running conditions start with that and report back

I see that you replaced the TCI. OEM or aftermarket? The chinese ones are often crap. The same can be said for the chinese carbs. If you've still got the OEM carb, it's well worth the cost of OEM parts to rebuild. Hook up an inline spark tester and watch it until it quits.

After pulling the spark plug that was fouled, I replaced it with a new one and it had great fire but wouldn't start.

126 in forward and 131 in reverse
