Default replacing G2 starter/generator

I have had my G2 to 3 different shops, replaced batteries, voltage regulator, lots of parts, but never the starter/ generator. Cart has to be plugged into a charger nightly to run. From what I've read it has to be the starter. I bought a new one and I need to install . Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take plenty of pictures of the wiring. Tag the wiring with the labels on the starter/generator. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Loosen and remove the top and bottom bolts on the starter/generator and remove the belt. Leave the belt around the engine. Loosen all the wiring and remove each one by hand. Install the new unit with the old hardware and slip the belt around it. Tension the belt using the top adjuster bolt and then tighten the top and bottom mounting bolts. Reconnect all the wires and don't overtighten. Gently touch the battery cable to the battery to make sure there's no huge spark which would mean you connected something wrong or something is touching ground and there is a short. If that goes well, reconnect it. Jack up the back end of the cart, leave the body up, turn the key on, and press the gas pedal to test.

Pretty straight forward, As was said, lots of pics and don't over tighten the belt.
