dark along with White smoke?

I have a 96 Gas Club Car that is having hesitation start up problems, but after its sat an hour or so it starts up and runs fine, but after its been drove a few minuets it smokes and hesitates to start up, but when the gas peddle is down about half way down, it finally gets going and runs strong until you let off the gas peddle, then its start over on getting it going again?, and I did notice dark smoke coming from engine along with the White smoke? is this valve problems? because of the Black smoke along with white smoke? that's what its sounding like to me? please anyone reply with your thoughts, thanks

I'd start by giving your carb a real good cleaning, especially the float needle. Generally black smoke is way too much fuel. Wouldnt hurt to clean or replace the spark plug also, I'd bet it is pretty fouled.

Give that a go before digging too deep.
