Left brake light not working
2013 EZGOgas with aftermarket LEDlights. All lights work except for the left brake light. I switched the lights to eliminate problem with bulbs. Appears to be a wiring issue, looking for clues on where to begin looking in the wiring.

Re: Left brake light not working
Get a voltmeter and check the wires.....see what has power and what doesn't, replace wires that are bad. Usually there is a wire rubbed raw some where.

Re: Left brake light not working
I typically will trace the wire backwards and look for physical issues with the wire. Then get the multimeter out and probe the wires. With the multimeter you can pin point where the wire is damaged if you can't see it. Most times a wire will have been severed or is mangled. Sometimes a terminal is broken. Rarely do I ever have to replace a whole wire, usually just a section or terminal. If you replace a wire, makes sure you use the same wire type and gauge. I also like to solder and shrink tube my repairs. |
