Re: Yamaha's and cold weather
Hey Ron,,,, you dont use your carts in the winter??? I haven't quit running mine well my 81 G1 the other G1 is still in the garage getting a face lift hahaaa, anyway when my body isn't hurting I run my 81 through all the mess around here and my cables haven't froze up yet. I had it out the other day it was 17 degrees and there were 5 inches of snow on the ground and what a ball I had. Then ran it through 6 inch deep mud holes full of water and that night it got down to 15 degrees and I went out and my 81 sets outside all the time and I had no trouble at all starting it or running it. I keep my cables sprayed up pretty good though with WD-40 maybe that helps.

Re: Yamaha's and cold weather
Hi Doomsman must work cause I spray it on the electrics also on my 81 G1 to keep water spray off and so far I have stalled it out yet in any mud holes full of water.

Re: Yamaha's and cold weather
Use my G2 all year long we drop down below freezing here, and my shift cables will freeze up too, but once the cart runs for little bit can shift forward and reverse, just rember to park it in direction you wanna take off the other problem is when snow gets to deep and gets on clutch and belt, forward mometum stops I also have a set of tire chains I can put on the rear tires when it gets icy, the ag tires work good in the snow dig right on thru it.
