My cart cruises a steady 19 to 20 mph, which is fast enough for me. I haven't had any problem with my limiter on the speed side. My engine is mod. and my low end torque rpm's were my problem, so I the answer to your question from me is no..

I seem to recall that at times with the factory ignitor I would hit the limiter and others I would not. It might have something to do with the slope of the road or the number of people on the cart.
If you are hitting the limiter you could turn the GOV a little so that it's just below the limiter. FWIW, I wouldn't bother with getting the MSD 6AL as the rev limiter pills don't function. The regular 6A is cheaper and that's what I put in mine. It will fire the stock coil but I'm not sure how long it will last. I switched the MSD Harley coil. I've been wanting t try the ign that MSD makes for Harley's that has a soft touch limiter. The harleys firing pattern is (I think) the same as the EZ GO's so I think it should work. |

i just adjusted the governor a little more and everythings great. its fast enough that i dont need to go remove the limiter. THANKS for all the help
