97 Ds will not charge?????

That is a two wire voltage regulator in the diagram I posted. The black wires on top are all the ground wires tied to the mounting screw.

got ya but now th only vrs available now r 4 wire or at least thats all i could find so if i wire it up like a 4 wire vr shouldnt it work? or cut the black ground coming out of it and wire it like a two wire

Run the red to the solenoid. Run the yellow to the starter/generator. Tie all your loose black wires together and make sure they are tied to ground.

k i had tht set up sunday and it still wouldn charge now i did ground the new 4 wire vr out before wiring all microswitches to the ground on the frame could tht have blown the new vr?
