Default G9 wiring Check this schematic

This schematic was on the forum but I don't see how it would work. The solenoid connects to battery when engaged but how does positive get back to solenoid coils. I'm trying to wire up from scratch on this.

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but here's how the start/charging system works. After the solenoid picks up, bat pos + goes to one side of the solenoid. The other side of solenoid then goes to the starter/gen. (still bat +). Current then goes into starter/gen and returns to the bat neg -. This now completes the circuit. The starter/gen is now a starter and the engine cranks. After the engine starts, the starter/gen is spun by the engine and it now becomes a generator and the current reverses (remember, the solenoid remains "energized"). Current now flows from the starter/gen through the solenoid and into bat pos +, then through battery and back into the negative side of the starter/gen. Hope that helps - RAY

If your asking about how does the solenoid "energize"?, From the "stop switch" (located at the accelerator pedal). The small black lead should vae 12 volts negative all the time, the small red lead only has 12 volts positive when you push on the accelerator pedal.
