Smile Gear box on a G1 motor

How does the gears get lubricated if the oil pump is bypassed? I just tore my engine down installing new drive clutch..Was just curious?

Pump drive,,looks like you have to have it on...can you use gasket sealer instead of a new gasket?

There is no lubrication on that gear. The 2 cycle oil mixes with the gas and does not supply that area with oil. If you are not using the factory oil injection go ahead and remove it.
