What is the difference between an a 1997 txt electric verses a gas when it comes to the chassis an suspension,? Can a electric be converted to gas? The reason i ask is i have a 95 medalist thats gas that im fixing to fix up, but i have a chance to buy a 1997 txt electric thats got no motor or batts that i can buy for 200 bucks! but i want gas?

The chassis is the same, the rear suspension itself is the same-design.The difference is the rear-axle,and the cradle that the engine mounts to.If you can find a parts-cart,you will be farther ahead, since you will also need fuel-tank,battery-tray,wire-harness,shifter-assy,and obviously, the rear-axle and cradle-assy.There may be some brackets as well. The motor itself is up to you,you can use the original,or something-else and set it up the way you want. The Medalist is the Metal-Body version of the TXT,its' the same cart under the body,so all the stuff will swap.Hope this helps.

So, would a gas tank from a TXT work on a medalist?

If you are converting an electric to gas why not throw in a clone engine instead of a stock EZGO? Easy to mod the clone, easy to get far more speed/HP/torque...

Just my $0.02
