Voltage Regulator's
I'm working on a G2 and was wondering if there is a way to check the voltage regulator and the one I have has an adjustment screw inside the lid and if it needed to be adjusted which way do you turn the screw??

Re: Voltage Regulator's
Put a volt meter on your battery,(jacked up or in neutral), rev up the engine and it should read between 14.5 to 15.5. G2's do have an adjustable voltage regulator, Take off the cap, loosen the jam nut on the adjustment screw and turn "in" the screw to increase, out to decrease. You should reinstall the cap and check for for correct voltage output, seems it can change with the cap on. Last note, your battery and terminals need to be cleaned and the battery must be good or the charging circuit will put in more voltage, because the battey wants it. Hope that helped alittle.
