Re: 1994 marathon electric upgrade
i'm in the middle of going from 36V to 48V by doing an alltrax SR48600 controller, a MZJ400 solenoid (400a continuous / 1000A peak), 2ga (or thicker) cables, an 8 x 6V 48V battery pack and a heavy duty reversing contactor.

Re: 1994 marathon electric upgrade
I went for the "beast" motor (7124) maximum torque and run on 48V.
2awg cables, electric reversing solenoid. I have the altrax SPM-72650 (obsolete now) and tried out 60V but too **** fast and dangerous 30+ mph It would bark the 10" tire on asphalt from standing start. I am using 12s6p (6 module in series and 3 modules in parallel) nissan modules gen 2. It goes plenty fast enough for me and has lots of range and will even pull my boat (17')around the neighborhood. |
