Check your wiring going from the wiper board to the coils. you may mixed up a few. Make sure the wire ends are not touching each other. If the coil is broken you will get a dead zone while pressing the pedal. The jerking toward the end as you slow down is just the first contact engaging and disengaging. This is normal and you will learn to just let the cart coast and use the brake rather than trying to go slow. If you check the oil in the rear end you might be low. I added a quart to mine and it smoothed out the jerking and clanking a little bit on my cart.

The oil capacity is 8 - 10 oz. A quart added is waaay to much.

i have the same thing that 5th post on the acc wiper switch i thought it went to the solenoid but when i put it on there i get some arcing

Second post from the bottom connects to the solenoid (on my 88 Marathon)
