1992 yamaha gaser stumbles when take off
I bought my first cart last nigth a 1992 Yamaha gas cart. When you take off you have to give it a little gas and it stumbles then finally takes off. Once it is warm it is much better. Do you think it is the filter or what? I dont no much about golf carts so please be nice lol. I build race car engines but dont no anything about these.

Re: 1992 yamaha gaser stumbles when take off
I'd put one of those race car engines in it you build and then see if it stumbles.
Welcome to the forum. Great to have a engine mechanic here. I would start with a good tune up. Yamaha's are very particular with air/fuel. Make sure the air box is completely sealed, all your fuel lines ok, check spacer between carb and intake for cracks, make sure the little fuel line going the back of the engine is secure and in good shape, etc... Also, if replace fuel lines, make sure you go back with the exact same size. Probably just needs a good tune up and carb. cleaned out. These are excellent carts and should give you years of enjoyment with regular maintenance. |
