Default Reversing Contactor Always Powered?

I just finished my Scotty B conversion kit, with SR Alltrax 500 amp controller, 400 amp solenoid, and SW202 Reversing Contactor, 2G cables. Everything seems to be working great, but I have constant power to the Reversing Contactor. When key is off and I flip the F&R switch to forward or reverse, I get a click. My wife left it switch to forward the other day when she got done and it was quite warm to touch after about an hour or so. Did I mess up the wiring or do i need to make sure the switch is in Center position when not in use?

You wired something wrong....

Where does the power to the center terminal of the FNR switch comes from?

Some place after the key switch.

Some folks wire it before the pedal switch and other folks after the pedal switch.

Putting in between the key switch and the pedal switch prevents the Reversing Contactor from clicking every time you press and release the pedal, but creates the opportunity to forget the cart in gear with the key switch ON which could damage the Reversing Contactor if stays ON overnight or longer.

I think ScottyB wiring diagrams place that connection after the pedal switch to prevent that issue, but it clicks every time you press the pedal.

I always run it from the small positive post from the solenoid. Activates with pedal then.
