Changed My Oil

I know there are a lot of threads out there about smoking. But I believe mine is a little different.

I bought a Par Car this past weekend and it runs great and needs a couple things tuned up with rattling in the back. But the cart runs great and had no issue with smoking.

I noticed the oil was low, so I changed the oil. Now, every time we move from a stand still she smokes a good amount then smoke slowly dissipates.

Is this common?

What is the recommended oil?If they call for Non-Detergent Oil,That could be the issue,or if its' overfull,or the wrong weight-oil.Some motors don't like to be full to the mfg. spec,a little less may be where its' "Happy".It may need a valve-job,or a rebuild,worst-case.Some motors have common issues,such as Yamahas' with bad Oil-Rings.Hope this helps,Someone more familiar with these carts will probably be along soon.
