Yamaha Gas Cart No Spark
Hi everyone
I am new to the forums and new to golf carts. I just got a gas powered Yamaha cart. I think it may be a G2. I do not have a key for it so i put jumper cables to the starter and it cranks fine but there is no spark. Do I need a key in order for there to be spark? Thanks Dan |

yes you will need a key for it. I believe the gas pedal is what starts all the circuits to get your spark. just get on ebay and type in your cart and they have a key for ya. i believe the keys are universal

Re: Yamaha Gas Cart No Spark
Should be able to bypass the key and run it for now, but need a key or anyone that hits the pedal it will go. The key powers up the pedal switch, it powers up the starter and ignition.
