Default CC Presedent alltrax400 opinions

Hey guys I have a 2010 precedent with the stock amd motor I just did the alltrax 400 upgrade with 200 amp solenoid and all 2gauge cables. Everything is running fine a I am hitting the 24 mph mark which is great! Plenty pick up and go for a golf cart.

However I am trying to adjust the controller slightly I lowered the rpm to 5250 and want to go up for slightly more regen. Currently it is the default field mapping. I am curious what others with similar setups have theirs adjusted to?

Any feed back, screen shots or suggestions are much appreciated!

I like lots of regen - I can just about 1 foot drive my Yamaha with Alltrax. You should look into getting the correct field map for your motor. Alltrax should be able to send it to you if you ask through their support. I have had very good luck with their support. I have been using Alltrax in my cart with Lithium batteries since 2016. You can see what RPM you are getting by using the logging function with their Laptop software. Unless you are hitting it, changing the max RPM won't change anything. Most of these motors can handle 6000 RPM no problem. With my gearing, 6000 RPM only gets me about 24mph. (Yamaha cart)

You need to have the correct field map for the motor or else it can overheat and burn the motor out. Where did you buy the controller? Our site sponsors that sell Alltrax will load the correct map before shipping the controller.

Also the field map is not the same as the throttle and torque curve settings that you can adjust in the throttle tab. Field maps are very specific “tunes” for different motors and are not adjustable. The throttle settings and Max motor amp/ regen amps settings are a totally different set of variables you can adjust based on how you want the cart to drive. None of those are related to, or affect the base field mapping for the motor.

Thanks for the comments I do have the correct field map installed. I’m asking about adjustments to the mapping for further customization by only modifying the regen portion.
