I'll be taking mine apart next week to install a new spring. I have a different clutch though. Haven't found any good pics of my type apart, and parts manual just show it as an assembly..

Lock the cart in neutral, raise the seat and hit the gas pedal. Now watch the belt and see if it moves correctly. You may just need a new belt.

Thanks KG, the belt is rather new. I am sure it is in the clutch some place. I just have to take it off and see what the difference is between the ST and the MPT.

Let me know how it turns out. I will need to know how to take mine off. I have not done that yet on these carts. I am ust glad I have the motors the same.

They make a tool to remove the clutch but I made mine. My clutch used a 3/4 fine thread bolt and I think a 3 inch long 1/2 rod. Hit it with an impact and it popped of.

Interesting, I will have to keep that in mind. I just looked at the cart this evening, jacked the rear up and watched the belt. The belt is tracking fine, however, the drive clutch (The one on the engine) hesitates when I press the pedal to go. Then it all of a sudden it wil take off. It does the same thing when I let off of the pedal.
