Default Crimp and solder new charger plug pin help

I ordered a replacement charger cable plug from DPI because my original plug was cracked and falling apart. I had planned on keeping the existing connectors on the cable, but when I went to install the new plug, one of the connectors came off the cable and was in poor shape. Fortunately the new plug came with new connectors. The instructions say to crimp and then solder the pins and to use a specific crimping tool from DPI. I was hoping to find a good alternative. Anyone have any experience or suggestions?

This is from the installation instructions.

"Crimped and soldered connection – note shiny color
of solder joint. Example shown for Yamaha Pin used
in 2-Pin and 3-Pin Connector"

Pin specific crimpers can be expensive.

I would use a small center punch on all four sides and then solder.
You should be fine.

Don't crimp them, just solder...a much better connection for voltage and amprage

I would put some paste on the wire and put it in. Looks like they crimp the edge to hold the wire while you solder it. If you have something to do that you could. Then solder it, the paste will make the solder suck right in. If you use plain wire crimpers they tend to flatten the whole thing out and deform it. In that case you may be better just soldering it. If you have a sharp punch you could try that see if it will poke it enough to hold the wire without flattening it. Depends on how thick it is.
