Re: G29 died.
You could repair that battery and probably get a full life out of it. You can drill and tap the battery put in a 5/16 stud and be good to go. I have done this on batteries before. Just youtube battery stud repair, they have some good step by step instructions.

G29 died.
Went by the golf cart shop and they just insisted on fixing the battery. Take a look. Should I use it?
They also didn’t have any 4 gauge cable so they just cut the melted terminal off and put a new one on the wire that I had. He cut back and none of the copper looked burned should I use?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: G29 died.
Yes. It should be fine. If you want to replace the cable, you can buy one online from any one of several vendors that support this forum.

Interesting. If money is not an issue then a new battery is the way to go. On the other hand you could just put the repaired battery back in the mix, charge them up and do a couple of test runs. Make sure there's no abnormal heat or voltages and you'd be good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: G29 died.
That repair should be good to go not the prettiest one I have ever seen but it will work. Remember to use 2 wrenches when reinstalling your cable. And like B-Man said just keep an eye on it for the first few charge and run cycles for excessive heat or noticeable voltage drop.
