Default club car valves

I have a 1997 club car that the exhaust valve came unseated. Anyone have any info on reseating it and maybe why this has happened?
Thanks,Dave

OK so I had the valve reseated and now I have nothing. Just backfires either through the carb or out the exhaust.Going to check compression tonight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Dave

Can you define "unseated and reseated" ? I'm not following you .... I know what a valve seat is?

The valve seat on the bottom side of the head came out and i had it re-installed.Now it wont run, just pops through the air box or out the exhaust.

Question... if I removed the head and turned the engine over by hand, would that mess with the timing?

no it should'nt sounds like maybe it bent the valve when the seat came out or the valves are not adjusted right
