Accelerator pedal stuck
Im in the process of overhauling a 89 Gasser. I have found the gas pedal has become progessively worse and harder to push and will not return on its own. The return spring is in place and apperars to be operational. Can get any advise on how to proceed?
I tried a search and came up with nothing. Thanks. |

Re: Accelerator pedal stuck
look underneath it you will see where the brake pedal is on a bar. look to see how those 2 bushings are. i had a similar problem where it would keep going. now i changed those bushings the problem went away.

Re: Accelerator pedal stuck
FYI the bushing in the control box had dirt and rust built up inside. Some brake kleen, a wire brush and some grease and its perfect.
