Default please help-posi-rear

hey guys, can anybody tell me step x step how to weld me 2001 kawi rear together so its a posi-rear? I really could use the experience from you guys...I have the welders at work. I really could use your advice....John

you just need to get the ring gear out..pull the bolts holding the two halves together and weld the spiders..... here's a second link with some info and a pic of some welded spiders.....http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...differentialnd

Just FYI you will make it a offroad only cart by doing this. It will be useless on the street and for towing but it makes a bad a$$ cart off road.

buy a pioneer rear end you can lock it into posi and unlock it its a little wider too.the only problem is finding one for a reasonable price.

I've been thinking that steering brakes like on a dune buggy might be a good alternative to a posi. When one tire is spinning, pull that brake & the power should go to the other side. Might be easier to put on a carts rear drums, but it would need some descent brakes up front for regular stopping.
