Metallic Grinding Sound When Accelerating..
A friend of mine just picked up a '02 Carryall gasser. Nice cart, has all the things a Pathway has, wiper, horn blinkers, etc..all done the right way. It also has the always on mod-turn the key to crank it and it'll idle until you step on the gas. That's where the problem is-he says there's an awful griding sound when the cart is put in either F or R. Then when the gas is pressed, it does not engage until-bam-it lurches forward, chirps the tires and goes. Obviously something's wrong-any ideas on where to start? TIA

Grinding is probably idler bearing on drive clutch. Thats also where jerking is coming from.
