no vacum to fuel pump
i have clean carbs,good fuel,but when i take off the gas line to the carb an crank it there is no gas flow,the pump is good,but no vacum going to it from motor.

welcome to BGW, have you cranked engine with hose off to see if it spits anything from engine? have you tried cleaning it there? and how did you determine fuel pump is good?................................

YES,i took vacum line off and there is no vacum at all.I never worked on a golf cart before but have experiance with a lot of 2 stroke motors,the fuel pump i took off-cleaned out,the diaframs looked good and you can hear it working when i put vacum on it. sure thank you for your help.

The pump works on pulses (push pull). What are you hearing? |

yea,but im not getting that pulse,push pull out of the vacum line,and what im hearing is when im putting a long peice of hose on the fuel pump an working it with my mouth,it will squirt gas like it is suppose to,but im just not getting the vacum out of the motor.also i checked to see if the hose was clogged and it was free flow in or out by mouth.

Even low compression should show a little something.
What motor are you working on? Some Club Cars have a rubber plug in the back of the block under S/G that is used for an oil fill tube on other applications. Check to see if it is gone, they do get brittle and fall/blow out when old. |
