'86 CC DS Stock Clutch
I planned to take a brass brush and get all the rust / crud off the clutch, is it okay to spray some wd-40 or will that cause the clutch to slip? As it is right now, its extremely hard to push it down.

WD 40 will be fine to help loosen things up but when it's done it's job I'd clean it off with brake cleaner and then lightly wipe the moving surfaces over with some anti - seize lubricant.
